Privacy policy

Longtable (“we”, “us”) runs longtabletrips.com. This policy explains what information the site collects, what we do with it and the choices you have. It covers this website only. If you reserve a seat on a trip, we’ll tell you how we handle booking details at that point.

What we collect

What you send us. If you apply to host, we collect the answers you give: your name, email address, primary platform and username, what you’ve sold to your audience before, where your audience lives, and your ideas for destinations, dates and a theme.

What your browser sends automatically. Like any website, the service providers that deliver this site receive your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, and keep them briefly in server logs for security and to keep the site running.

We don’t use cookies, analytics, advertising trackers or tracking pixels.

How we use it

We use your application to decide whether a Longtable weekend is a fit, to write back to you, and, if we work together, to plan the weekend. We don’t use it for anything else, and we don’t add you to a mailing list.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell your information or share it for advertising. We use a small number of service providers for technology only: hosting the website, storing applications securely and sending us a notification when one arrives. They handle your information only to provide those services to us, not for their own purposes.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone’s safety.

How long we keep it

We keep an application for up to two years after we last hear from you, then delete it. If we work together, we keep what we need for the length of that partnership and for our tax and business records.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you what we have about you, correct it or delete it. Email nate@lapswim.co and we’ll reply within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example California, the European Union or the United Kingdom), you may have further rights under local law, and we’ll honor them. We don’t sell personal information.

Security

Applications are sent over an encrypted connection, and only we can read them. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you send us.

Where it’s stored

We’re based in the United States, and our service providers may process your information in the United States or other countries.

Children

This site and Longtable weekends are for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update it here and change the date at the top.
